Former Superbowl Champion and current TV and radio broadcaster Rick "Doc" Walker will be hosting a networking party at Velocity Five on Wednesday July 30th from 6 PM - 10 PM. The event will feature a live jazz band and complimentary hors devours from 6 PM - 8 PM. If you have always wanted to network and connect with the area's top professionals, this is the one event you have to attend. Dress to impress, invite friends and bring plenty of business cards because this will be networking party of the summer!

Rick Doc Walker a veteran of nine NFL seasons distinguished himself on the football field with his blocking and timely pass catching. Doc was a starting tight end for Coach Joe Gibbs 1982 World Champion Washington Redskins. He developed the concept of the Skins “Fun Bunch” and was an original member of the famed offensive linemen known as the “HOGS”. Playing for Coach Dick Vermeil’s UCLA Bruins, Rick received lineman of the year honors in 1977 and became a Rose Bowl Champion.

As a broadcaster, Rick has been a college football television analyst for ESPN, The Big East and Prime. He delivered color commentary for the NFL on CBS –Westwood One Radio and currently delivers color commentary for the ACC College Football Game of the Week aired on Raycom Sports. He is a host of "The Locker Room on ESPN 980 (Washington DC) host of Doc Walker's Proview on Comcast SportsNet. And is the sideline reporter for the Washington Reskins radio network.

Selling Power Magazine chose Rick “Doc” Walker as on of the region's top motivational speakers. For speaking engagements Rick specializes in corporate team building and sales training.

Rick serves on the board of directors for The Touchdown Club Charities and The Spencer Foundation. As an event chairman he as helped Providence Health Foundation, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the YMCA. Currently Rick hosts the annual BB&T Alzheimer’s Golf Tournament, and the annual Doc Walker Golf Tournament for American Cancer.
